Handling the blades is terrifying. First time user. Cut myself just trying to wrestle the blade from its packet. After the fiddly blade positioning actually using the razor for the first time I remembered, "short strokes at 30°" - that's straightforward for legs, but challenging for pits. I had cut myself in about four places. But, the shave was nice and close.

It definitely took a couple tries to get used to shaving at an angle with this type of razor but it's so worth it! I feel so much better using this other disposable razors!

After a few shaves, I am so glad to have invested in this razor. A bit of a learning curve after having only used cheap razors previously (take it slow and small strokes!) but it is definitely the best shave I've had with any razor. Close to the skin and it lasts for longer than 24 hours. The razor itself is hefty and feels like a quality material. I would recommend this to anyone looking to invest in a sustainable shaving option and in the end, cost efficient too.

Other than the fact that I get a closer shave with a disposable razor and don’t also mutilate my body while shaving this razor was grrreeeat....so it’s a crappy shave and a for all of that you wound yourself in the process

I’ve only used safety razors to shave he back of my husband’s neck prior to finding Lisse. I was a little concerned about my proclivity towards knicks, even with the seemingly foolproof plastic drugstore brands. Once my plastic razor was mildewy and I had used up all the replacement blades, I sprung for the real deal and I’m so glad I did. Short strokes for the win, hardly any knicks (tiny tiny) and not so difficult around the knees and my armpits. My bikini line has never looked better... it’s better than waxing. And the razor itself looks and feels pretty great in my hand. Thank you!

I have only used it once so far but it was fantastic! So much easier than I anticipated- felt just like a brand new men’s razor. A few days after and I have no ingrowns or razor bumps anywhere . I did nick my ankle but that’s pretty normal for me. I highly recommend.

I had a different safety razor for 2 years and it barely shaved but cut my skin most of the time, even with new blades. I was so frustrated and wanted to give up on safety razors after all. After the good reviews here I gave the Lisse a try and it’s really amazing how different it is. It leaves my skin smooth but doesn’t leave out a single hair. I use it with the shaving oil and I couldn’t be happier with the products. I have a couple cuts from my first use but mostly because I was used to the necessary pressure for my earlier safety razor. Just letting it glide on the skin without any pressure works great though. I‘m in love!

I love the new design of the LISSE razor, it's so easy to handle and use- I will never go back from using a safety razor now--literally the best shave ever and reduces soooo much plastic, plus it looks sat on my bathroom shelf. I've seen other razor companies that sell safety razors but none of them are "lead-free" and lead being soooo toxic, it was very important to me that i found one without lead as at the time i was purchasing i was pregnant and i know its especially bad for pregnant women. I'm really happy I made the switch. Changing the blade is a lot easier than I thought it would be, and the whole thing is really easy to clean. I did nick myself a few times on the first try, but once I got the hang of short strokes it wasn't a problem. It really does give you a much closer shave!

I love this razor. I had the old rose gold one before but I just couldn't resist the matte black. I love the handle and the balance so much that I switched entirely to the matte black. As with any safety razor, it takes a little while to understand how to use it, but once you master it, it's the closest and smoothest shave you'll ever have. It's a great way to reduce plastic in your life, and I love Lisse so much.

I was thinking about switching to a safety razor for a while, since I've been transitioning to more eco friendly products overall. I'm so happy I went with Lisse! The razor itself is a chic color and has a nice weight to it. Shaving with it is easy, it just takes a bit more time and practice. My husband has his own safety razor but has tried mine as well and he loves it! I happened to be wearing black matte nail polish when my razor arrived and I couldn't help but grab a picture :) I also love Lisse's stand regarding body hair gender norms, and I respect that the brand doesn't partake in sexist commercialization of gender constructs in their marketing like some other major razor companies do. Amazing razor, amazing brand!

Super happy with my razor and purchases. I didn't have an adjustment period to get used to using the razor, but my skin had a bit of an adjustment. The first shave I had a razor burn despite using very light to-no pressure and lots of suds, but the second shave I went with the hair and no more razor burn. I have Vvvv sensitive skin, so if this is you, just know there could be an adjustment period! Super happy with it though. Best shaves!

I love this razor! It’s definitely a little hard to get used to but once you get the hang of it it’s great! My advice is to be careful when you’re first getting used to it because it’s a very sharp razor. Great purchase for someone trying to be more environmentally friendly!

I have to say, I was super scared to do this switch.. I kept the razor in the package for about a week before I decided to diligently look at all the “how to’s”. I just finished my first shave (literally still in my towel) and HAD to write this review. Wow I am SO glad I made the switch. Suuuuch a smooth and easy shave. I mean, I was super nervous and went SO slow and my hands were probably shaking as I was going, but I got the hang of it so quickly and shaved my entire body without a scratch in site. Really commend the instructions & just taking my time. Will tell everybody about this razor!!!!
